Lions Fall to University of Alabama-Huntsville 22-12

Huntsville, AL – The Emmanuel Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Huntsville, AL to take on the University of Alabama-Huntsville in a non-conference matchup. UAH got off to a quick start, scoring six goals in the first period and continued to control the pace of the game throughout to earn the 22-12 win. With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-13 on the season. 
 
In the first period, the Chargers scored the first six goals of the game to take a quick 6-0 lead on the Lions. With 5:02 to play in the period, the Lions got on the board with a goal from Luke Hildebrandt, assisted by Tanner Park to make it 6-1, Chargers. Hildebrandt found the net again with 2:13 to play in the first, assisted to Jared Weiss to make it 6-2. 
 
Hildebrandt stayed hot to start the second, scoring with 14:52 to go to bring the Lions within three, 6-3. The Chargers would score the next two to make the score 8-3. Jared Weiss got into the action for Emmanuel, with a goal with 11:58 to play in the period, assisted by Ryland Laturell to make it 8-4. UAH would grab two more goals to go up 10-4, but Hildebrandt scored his third of the day to make it 10-5. UAH scored four in a row to make their lead 14-5 to close out the period. 
 
In the third, Tanner Park got things going for the Lions with a goal with 10:12 to play, assisted by Laturell to make it 14-6, Chargers. The Chargers would score the next three to go up 17-6. Laturell got in on the action with 4:17 to play in the third to bring the score to 17-7. Park grabbed a goal with 3:07 to play in the third, assisted by Kyle Lloyd to make it 17-8. 
 
In the final period, the Chargers scored first to go up 18-8. Kyle Lloyd answered back with 11:11 to play scoring a goal to make it 18-9, assisted by Weiss. The Chargers scored the next two, to make it 20-9, but John Allen answered with a goal with 7:09 to play to make it 20-10. The Chargers grabbed the next two, making the score 22-10, but the Lions closed out the game with two goals, one by Ryley Dowswell with 4:26 to play, assisted by Hildebrandt, and the last goal with 1:12 to play by Park, assisted by Hildebrandt to make the final score 22-12.
