Box Score Mount Olive, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Mount Olive today to take on the Trojans. After a close first period, the Trojans went on an 8-0 scoring run. Although the Lions battled hard, the Trojans came away with a 15-8 win. With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-15 on the season.
 
Kyle Lloyd got things started with a goal at the 10:39 mark in the first to give the Lions an early 1-0 lead. The Trojans responded with a goal of their own to tie things at 1, but the Lions answered back with a goal at 2:44 by Luke Hildebrandt, assisted by Lloyd to give the Lions a 2-1 lead. The Trojans scored with 4 seconds to go in the period to tie things at 2. 
 
The second period was all Mount Olive, as the Trojans scored 8 goals to make the score 10-2. 
 
In the third, Hildebrandt got the Lions back on the board with 14:00 minutes to play in the period, assisted by Jared Weiss to make the score 10-3, UMO. Mount Olive responded with a goal to make it 11-3, but the Lions got a goal back with 10:53 to play in the period with a goal by Ryley Dowswell to make it 11-4. The Trojans would score the next three to go up 14-4, but Dowswell would end the Trojan's scoring run with 1:22 to play in the third to make it 14-5. 
 
In the fourth period, the Trojans added to their lead to make it 15-5, but the Lions would score the final three goals of the game. John Allen found the net with 8:11 to play, assisted by Hildebrandt to make it 15-6. Hildebrandt grabbed his second goal of the day with 5:30 to play to make it 15-7, then Dowswell closed out the game with 2:25 to play to make the final score 15-8. 
 
Next up, the Lions will take on Lees-McRae on April 19 at 4PM.
