Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Chowan University today in Conference Carolinas action. The Lions got off to a great start winning the doubles point and continued to have success in singles play, taking the match 6-1. With the win, the Lions improve to 9-9 on the season, 5-3 in conference action.

1. At #1 doubles, Darja Chistov/Sabina Roua (EU) def. M. Jimenez/S. Kentish (CU) 7-5. 
2. At #2 doubles, Shatavisa Ghosh/Tawana Senah (EU) def. F. Rodriguez/S. Puducheri (CU) 7-5. 
3. At #3 doubles, Anna Goncalves/Victoria Rodriguez won by default. 

SINGLES PLAY – 

1. At #1 singles, Alejandra Guerrero (EU) def. M. Jimenez (CU) 6-1, 6-1. 
2. At #2 singles, Anna Goncalves (EU) def. F. Rodriguez (CU) 6-4, 6-2. 
3. At #3 singles, Victoria Rodriguez (EU) def. S. Puducheri (CU) 6-2, 6-1. 
4. At #4 singles, S. Kentish (CU) def. Zyanya Rogel (EU) 6-2, 2-0. 
5. At #5 singles, Chloe Smith (EU) def. E. Getachew (CU) 6-0, 6-0. 
6. At #6 singles, Sabina Roua won by default.
