FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Soccer team hosted Anderson University this afternoon in the Lions home opener.
The Trojans got things started early with a goal at the 15:40 mark to give Anderson a 1-0 lead. Anderson scored a second goal at 35:05 in the first half to make it 2-0 going into halftime.
The Lions tightened up of defense in the second half of play, allowing just four shots compared to 12 in the first half. The Lions were more aggressive offensively in the second half, with four shots of their own, but none found the net. The Trojans came away with a 2-0 win to bring the Lions record to 0-2.
