LAKEWOOD, CO – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team finished off their trip out west with a game against Colorado Christian University. The game was competitive with the teams evenly matched, but in the end a late goal by the Cougers left the game knotted in a tie, 2-2. With the tie, the Lions record now stands at 1-0-1. 
 
Nathan Walker got things started for the Lions in the first half with a score at the 33:07 mark to give Emmanuel a 1-0 lead. The Cougers would respond six minutes later with a goal of their own to knot things at 1-1.
 
The second half continued to be a defensive battle, with neither team finding the net until Emmanuel's Emiliano Meza Eboli scored his first career goal in the 79^th minute. The Lions held onto the lead until the final minute of play when the Cougers tied things back up at 2-2, which would be the final score.
 
The Lions and Cougers each took 8 shots, with the Lions landing 4 shots on goal compared to 3 for Colorado Christian. 
 
Up next, the Lions will host Belmont Abbey at home on Saturday at 7PM in their first conference matchup of the season.
