Troutman, NC -  The No. 8 Emmanuel University Women's Triathlon team competed in the East Regional Nationals Qualifier, finishing 3rd overall for the 3rd year in a row!
 
There are only 2 regions in collegiate women's triathlon. The top 20 NCAA Div. I, II, III teams in the west compete at the West Regional championships. The top 20 NCAA Div. I, I, III teams in the east compete at the East regional championships.
 
The draft legal sprint triathlon event consisted of a 750-meter swim, 20K bike, and 5K run. 
 
Sophomore, Antonia Vasquez was the top EU finisher with a time of 1 hour 12 minutes 18 seconds (17th place). Freshmen, Daniela Lincango finished with a time of 1 hour 14 minutes 54 seconds (19th place). Junior, Rica Botz finished in 1 hour 20 minutes 48 seconds (23rd place).

Next up, the Lady Lions have qualified 3 athletes and head to the 2025 NCAA Collegiate Triathlon National Championships (Saturday, November 9) at Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. GO LIONS!
