FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – Following a strong performance at the CSCAA 5K Open Water National Championship, Emmanuel sophomore, Isabella Hernandez was named the Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Week. 

The field consisted of 125 swimmers from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA. The race consisted of a 5K (3.1 mile) open water swim. The Lady Lions finished 4^th overall in the D2 team standings with 44 points. Two Lady Lions broke the former 5K open water EU school record of 1:03.22 set by Reilly Allman at the 2022 Open Water National Championships. 

On the Women's side, Hernandez was the top Emmanuel finisher, finishing 10^th overall in D2 with a time of 1:00.52.0, which is a new school record.
