FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA -      The National Wrestling Coaches Association released their national poll yesterday and the Emmanuel Women's Wrestling team is ranked amongst the top contenders nationally.
After strong performances in the month of November, the Lions sit at #9 nationally, with conference rival, King University ranked #6. 

Individually, sophomore, Janida Garcia of Lathrop, CA taps in at #2 in the 131 lb. weight class. In the month of November, Garcia went 7-1 posting wins over wrestlers from top ranked Presbyterian and Iowa. She finished the month with a first-place finish at the Eagle Madness Open hosted by Life University and a second-place finish at the Blue Hose Challenge hosted by Presbyterian College.

Junior, Karissa Turnwall continues to shine in the 117 lb. weight class, holding steady at the #3 spot in the national rankings. Turnwall went a perfect 8-0 in the month of November, with only 2 points scored against her. She defeated wrestlers from Iowa, Presbyterian and Mount Olive to earn two first place finishes in the month at the Eagle Madness Open and Blue House Challenge.

Next, the Lions will host Newberry College in a conference dual on December 10^th at 6PM.
