MARSHALL, MO – The Emmanuel Women's Wrestling team went out west over the weekend to compete in the Missouri Valley Open, hosted by Missouri Valley University. The Lions wrestled well, with several underclassmen gaining experience on the mat.
 
RESULTS

• Vida Beckel (160) led the way for the Lions with a record of 4-2 in the tournament with two wins by fall and two via tech fall. 
• Gemma Templeman (207) picked up 3 wins on the weekend, 2 by fall and one by decision. 
• Betty Cherry (124) grabbed 3 wins on the weekend, with 2 by decision and one via fall. 
• Kalayah Edwards (124) went 2-2 overall with a win by tech fall and one by fall.
• At 160lbs, Alexandriyah Kekoanui picked up 2 wins in the tournament, one by decision and one by fall. 

The Lions will be back in action on December 3^rd at 5PM as they host Bluefield State University.
