Franklin Springs, Ga – The 2025 Atlantic Casualty Insurance Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship begins this weekend and the Lions will head to Rome, GA to face #12 seed, North Greenville on Sunday at 5PM. 

The Lions head into the tournament as the #7 seed with a record of 12-15 overall, 11-9 in conference.

The two teams faced each other once in regular season play with the Lions edging the Trailblazers at home on Senior Day, 52-47. Naomi Roberts led the way for the Lions with 17 points with three Lions collecting 4 rebounds apiece.

The winner of the match up will face #5 seed, Shorter University on Monday at 6PM. The Lions played the Hawks twice in the regular season, falling 67-62 at home before earning a W on the road, 61-55 on February 19. In their latest contest, three Lions ended the night in double figures scoring. Roberts (21 points), Abby Crawford (16 points) and Maddie Futch (10 points) all played a key role in the win. 

The winner of the 2^nd round match up will move onto the quarterfinals which will be hosted at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on the campus of Wofford College on Friday, March 7.
