Mount Olive, NC – The Emmanuel Baseball team traveled to Mount Olive, NC to face the University of Mount Olive for a three-game conference series. The Trojans kicked off the series with a thrilling 5-4 victory on Friday before the taking game two, 6-3. The Trojans needed extra innings to win game three, 8-7 in 10 innings.
With the series loss, the Lions fall to 8-11 on the season and 2-6 in conference play. 
GAME ONE – 
The Trojans got on the board first in game one with a run on one hit in the bottom of the first inning. 
The score stayed the same until the Trojans added a run to their lead in the bottom of the 4th on two hits to make it 2-0, Trojans. 
The Lions got on the board in the top of the 5th. 
Ryan Muniz doubled to left field start things off. 
Jesus Cruz kept things going with a single to 3rd base and stole second to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. 
Landon Mokris reached on a fielder's choice, with Muniz getting put out at home and Cruz would score on a wild pitch to cut the Trojans lead to 2-1. 
In the bottom of the 6th, the Trojans scored two runs on a hit to take a 4-1 lead. 
The Lions responded in the top of the 8th with a solo homerun by Mokris to make it 4-2, Trojans. 
In the top of the 9th, the Lions made things interesting. 
Dobbs Bowden started things off with a walk but was put out at 2nd on a hit by Muniz. Cruz was hit by a pitch to advance Muniz to 2nd, then a groundout by 
Brock Wollin moved runners to 2nd and 3rd. Mokris kept things going for the Lions with a single up the middle to score Muniz and Cruz to tie things at 4-4. In the bottom half of the inning, the Trojans scored in walk-off fashion to earn a 5-4 victory.
At the plate, 
Jesus Cruz went 2-4 with 2 runs scored. 
Landon Mokris went 2-5 with 3 RBI's and a run scored.
On the mound. 
Noah Cantleberry got the start going 5.0 innings. He gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits. He struck out 3 batters and walked 3. 
Hunter Parks relieved him and earned the loss. He went 3.2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He walked three batters and struck out one. 
GAME TWO 
The Trojans got on the board first in game two scoring 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 errors in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 4-0 lead. 
The Trojans added to their lead in the bottom half of the 4th, scoring a run on a hit to make it 5-0. 
The Lions responded well in the top of the 5th on a solo homerun by 
Ryan Muniz to cut the Trojans lead to 5-1. In the bottom of the 5th, the Trojans answered back with a run on a hit to make it 6-1.  
Landon Mokris went yard for the Lions in the top of the 6th to make it 6-2, Trojans. 
In the top of the 7th the Lions got back to work offensively. 
Austin Bourrie walked to start the inning. Muniz was hit by a pitch to put runners on 1st and 2nd. 
Jesus Cruz kept things going with a single through the right side to score Bourrie and cut the Trojans lead to 6-3 which would be the final score.
At the plate, 
Landon Mokris and 
Ryan Muniz each went 1-2, with a homerun and a run scored. 
On the mound, 
Hunter Pirkle got the start. He went 4.0 innings, giving up 6 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits. He struck out 3 batters and walked 4. 
Lucas Meehan came in to close out the game for the Lions. He threw 2.0 innings and gave up one hit. He struck out 3 batters and walked one. 
GAME THREE
The third game started out as a pitcher's duel, with neither team getting on the board until the bottom of the 5th inning where the Trojans plated 3 runs on 4 hits to take a 3-0 lead. 
The Trojans added a run on a hit in the bottom of the 6th to go up 4-0. 
In the top of the 7th, the Lions bats got hot. 
Zachary Bergstrom started things off with a double to left center. 
Cameron Hancock was hit by a pitch and 
Parker Westbrook walked to load the bases. 
Dobbs Bowden kept it going with a double down the left field line to score Bergstrom and Hancock to cut the Trojans lead to 4-3. Muniz singled up the middle to move Bowden to 3rd base. Bowden stole home to tie things at 4-4. 
Jesus Cruz was hit by a pitch and the runners stole a base to put runners on 2nd and 3rd for 
Brock Wollin. Wollin took advantage of the opportunity lacing a single up the middle to score Cruz and Muniz giving the Lions. 6-4 lead. The Trojans threatened in the bottom half of the inning but couldn't get a run across.
In the bottom of the 8th, the Trojans tied things up scoring 2 runs on 2 hits to make it 6-6.
The Lions rallied in the top of the 9th. 
Jesus Cruz tripled to right field to start the inning. Wollin followed that up with a single to score Cruz to give the Lions a 7-6 lead. The Trojans answered in the bottom half, with a solo homerun to left field to make it 7-7 heading to the 10th. 
The Trojans tacked on a run in the 10th to go up 8-7 which would be the final score.
At the plate, 
Dobbs Bowden and 
Brock Wollin went 2-5 with 3 RBI's.
On the mound, 
Brayden Pooler got the start and faced 2 batters with one walk. 
Zach Evans came in next to pitch 4.0 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits and struck out 3 batters, walking 2. 
Will Sherman relieved him to pitch an inning, striking out one batter and giving up a hit. 
Hunter Maddox came in next to pitch 2.0 innings. He gave up one run on three hits and struck out a batter. 
Gavin Richardson threw 2.0 innings, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and striking out 2 batters. 
Barrett Barkley came in next to face one batter, giving up a run. 
The Lions will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Augusta in regional play at 4PM.
