COMMERCE, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Golf team kicked off their season this week hosting the Golden Mane Classic at Double Oaks Golf Course in Commerce, GA. After a strong day one, where the Lions shot their second lowest round in program history, Emmanuel continued their dominance in day two, earning a first-place team finish shooting +57 in three rounds of play to defeat 2^nd place finisher, USC Beaufort (+75) and 3^rdplace finisher, Belmont Abbey (+81).  

Sophomore, Aurora Castelli led the way for the Lions with a 2^nd place finish, with a strong round two, shooting 3-under par. On the tournament, Castelli finished + 9 to earn the 2^nd place finish. Freshman, Alba Caliz Rejas finished tied for 3^rd with a score of +12, and senior, Lucia Salinas finished just outside of the top 10, in 12^thwith a score of +18.

The Lions will be back in action on September 15 as they compete in the NCAA DII Regional Preview hosted by Lee University at the Cleveland Country Club.
