GAINESVILLE, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Swimming team traveled to Gainesville, GA last night to face Thomas University. The Lions swam fast, earning a win over the Nighthawks, 102-39 to move to 10-1 on the season. The event, which was supposed to be a home meet but was moved due to an electrical issue was the team's Breast Cancer Awareness meet, so the team honored survivors and those who have lost their battle to breast cancer by wearing pink caps. 

RESULTS 

• In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, the Emmanuel team made up of Mateus Lopes, Maximilliano Benitez, Jan Michalak, and Jakub Mecner took first place with a time of 3:29.04.
• In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Emmanuel's Yagiz Ari took first with a time of 4:58.72.
• In the 200 Yard IM, Michalak took first place with a time of 1:54.23, while Benitez placed 2^nd with a time of 2:00.21. 
• In the 50 free, Lopes earned a first-place finish with a time of 21:58, while Ari took 2^nd with a time of 22:56 and Mecner placed 3^rd with a time of 23:01.
• In the 200 Backstroke, Hayden Lester took 2^nd with a time of 1:56.79.
• In the 200 Breaststroke, Benitez took first with a time of 2:06.27.
• In the 200 Butterfly, Michalak placed first with a time of 1:57.03, while Arda Hulagu (1:59.63) and Ahmed Abdalla (2:03.57) placed 2^nd and 3^rd. 
• In the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, Emmanuel's team of Coby Sylvester, Ethan Harris, Logan Ingraffia and Ahmed Abdalla took 2^nd with a time of 3:31.08. 

Next up the Lions will host Thomas University and Life University on Senior Day, on January 24^th at 11AM.
