KINGSPORT, TN – The Emmanuel Men's Swimming team continued competition in the Day 2 finals of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship at the Kingsport Aquatic Center. The Lions competed in the finals of the 500 Freestyle, 200 IM, the 50 Freestyle, and the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The Lions finished the night several top times, including a first place finish the 50 Free.

RESULTS

• In the 500 Freestyle, Yagiz Ari finished 5^th with a time of 4:45.29. 
• In the 200 IM, Jan Michalak finished 4^th with a time of 1:52.07. 
• In the 50 Free, Mateus Lopes finished 1^st with a time of 20.58 while Leonardo Medeiros finished 3^rd with a time of 20.77. 
• The Lions team of Lopes, Medeiros, Arda Hulagu and Jakub Mecner were disqualified in the 200 Yard Freestyle relay.

After today's finals, the Lions currently sit in third place with 219 behind leader, Converse University (265.5) and second place finisher, University of Montevallo (221). 

Action will continue tomorrow with Day 3 Prelims beginning at 9AM with finals at 5PM.
