Bellevue, KY – The Emmanuel Men's Bowling team continued action today in the Conference Carolinas Championship tournament.
The Lions opened the day up against #1 seed, Belmont Abbey. The two teams bowled five games with the Crusaders earning the 4-1 victory.
The Crusaders won the first two game 169-157, 176-149. The Lions rallied to take game three, 201-190 but Belmont Abbey closed out the match strong to win the last two games, 192-178, 192-143.
The Lions then faced #5 seed Barton in an elimination match. It was a tightly contested match, with the Lions coming out on top, 4-2.
The Lions took game one, 201-195 before the Bulldogs rallied to take game two, 209-199. The Lions won games three and four, 190-186, 225-148 but the Lions roared back to win the final two games, 227-140, 218-188.
With the win, the Lions cemented their spot in the Championship match against Belmont Abbey tomorrow.
