Due West, SC – The Emmanuel Men's Volleyball team traveled to Erskine to take on the Flying Fleet in a Conference Carolinas play. Over the years, both teams have had their share of victories, but today the Lions came out on top in an exciting five-set match.
In the first set, the Lions stayed close before building momentum off Erskine's attack errors to take a 24–20 lead. Aiden Feeney sealed the set with a kill, giving Emmanuel a 25–20 win.
The Lions continued their strong play in the second set, battling back from a deficit to secure a 25–23 victory. After trailing early, Emmanuel showed resilience, taking their first lead at 15–14 and maintaining control through the end of the set.

Thijs Van der Wal and Feeney came on strong late in set two to give the LIons the 25-23 win.
Despite a strong start to the match, Emmanuel dropped the next two sets, 22–25 and 17–25, as Erskine fought back to even the match.
In the fifth set, the Lions stepped up and maintained control, not allowing the Fleet to regain momentum. Emmanuel closed out the match with a 15–12 win in set 5 to win the game 3-2.
Top performers for the Lions included
Aidan Feeney, who recorded another 20-kill match,
Greg Bodus with over 37 assists,
Elek Cumming with 3 aces, and
Josh Staehler with 18 digs.
Next, the Lions travel to face LIfe University on April 3 at 6PM.
