FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.---The Emmanuel College women's tennis team defeated the visiting Southern Wesleyan University Warriors 5-4 in SSAC tennis action this past weekend in the Springs.

EC won singles 1, 2, and 3 events along with Doubles 1 and 2 events for the victory.

Match Results:

Christianne Tetley won No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-3.
Olivia Gish won No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Madalina Fausto won No. 3 singles 6-0. 6-0.

Christianne Tetley and Olivia Gish won No. 1 doubles 8-2.
Madalina Fausto and Jaclyn Klerk won No. 2 doubles 8-0.

The Lions are now 2-4 (2-2 in the SSAC) and will play the rest of their 2014 dates away. EC defeated Spring Hill College for their other SSAC win of the season.

EC is back on the courts on March 14-15 in Montgomery, Alabama as they play in an SSAC Round Up versus SSAC West Division opponents Bethel and Martin Methodist. The matches will be held at the O'Connor Tennis center at Lagoon Park.
