Box Score 2 Bristol, TN - The Emmanuel Lady Lions traveled to King University to play in a double header event. Both teams came ready but top of the 3rd King finally put the first run on the board when a couple singles and a HBP brought one in.
Top of the 5th Emmanuel put their first runs on the board when Junior Halle Cheek singled to the right side and Junior Kara Hembree singled to left center. Senior Kalen Callaway then walked to load the bases. Coming in clutch for the Lady Lions Freshman Kirsten Hill then sent a line drive down the left field line bringing in both Cheek and Hembree to take the lead; 2-1 Lions.
Bottom of the 6th the Lions kept at it when Sophomore Jorden Williams doubled to right center and Sophomore Jessica Allen reached on catcher's interference. Kara Hembree then reached on fielder's choice but brought in Williams; 3-1 Lions.
The King Tornados would then go on to score one more run in the bottom of the 6th to bring the game to 3-2 but the Emmanuel defense just wouldn't have it. Final Score 3-2 Lions.
