Box Score 2 FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College softball team split their double header with Young Harris on Wednesday afternoon. With these games, the Lions bring their record to 15-16 overall, 4-4 in conference.
Game #1
In their 6-2 loss, the Lions totaled six hits with Mary Baxter and Noelle Petty scoring one run apiece. In the bottom of the sixth inning Mary Baxter advanced to first with a single to right field. Noelle Petty followed up with a homer to score the only two Lion runs of the game.

Game #2
The Lions grabbed an early lead in the first inning when Becky Collins doubled to center field, bringing in Mary Baxter and Caitlin Parks. The Lions would allow 1 run in the top of the second inning before Madison Hopper closed out the top of the inning with a strikeout. With Emmanuel back at bat in the third, they would score 3 more runs to take a 5-1 lead. The rest of the game would remain scoreless for the Lions, while Young Harris began to lessen the gap. In the seventh inning, the Mountain Lions put themselves within just 1 run of the Lions. With a runner on first and second base, the Lions would close out the game with a ground out to first base.
