FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - No. 1 Emmanuel College women's basketball team defeated No. 4 Mount Olive, 77-64, in the Conference Carolinas Semifinals on Thursday night. With this win, the Lions advance to the Conference Carolinas Championship match against Belmont Abbey College. This marks the first ever Conference Carolinas Championship appearance for the women in just their first year of eligibility. The final round will take place tomorrow, March 8th at 5:30pm in the Shaw Athletic Center.

No. 3 Belmont Abbey defeated No. 2 Barton College, 77-69 in their semifinal matchup to earn their spot in the championship round.

On their road to the championship appearance, the Lions racked up some impressive accolades. Senior Lochlain Corliss earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team, while Sophomore Hanna Grogan made it on the All-Conference Third Team as announced at the award banquet this afternoon. Head Coach Mike Bona earned Conference Coach of the Year thanks to his impressive season.
