GAME #1
The Lions recorded 12 hits, 9 runs, 7 RBI's and drew 1 walk in their 9-0 sweep of the Crusaders. Noelle Petty had 2 RBI's on a homer in the top of the 7th inning. McCall Maret picked up a double and triple while Ryanne White and Mackensie Hogan each had one double. Caitlin Parks, Lexie Tallent, Abbey Sims, Isabelle Petty, White, Maret, and Hogan all combined for 7 singles.
Madison Abell faced 26 batters in 7 innings while recording 1 strikeout and allowing 0 runs and only 6 hits.
GAME #2
The Lions battled with the Crusaders and ultimately came out on top 8-7 thanks largely to two home runs from Mackensie Hogan. Hogan brought in 7 of the 8 runners for EC, Caitlin Parks picked up the other RBI with her single. Emmanuel had 11 hits, 8 RBI's, 8 runs, and drew 2 walks.
Ally Harris, McCall Maret, and Mackensie Hogan each picked up a double. Abbey Sims and Noelle Petty recorded 2 singles each while Harris and Parks each had 1 single.
Sloan Hammons faced 21 batters in the first 3 innings and recorded 3 strikeouts while allowing 8 hits, 7 runs, and 1 walk. Dani Fairey closed out the last 3 innings and struck out 4 batters while allowing only 3 hits.
Next up, EC softball returns home for a double-header against Lander University on Friday, March 13th.
