FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The Emmanuel softball team recently received their Conference Champions rings after claiming the program's first league title this past spring.

The championship came in dramatic fashion, as the Lions were the number 8 seed heading into the postseason, making them unlikely candidates for the title. However, a string of dramatic upsets led to them making a push deep in the tournament, eventually beating Mount Olive in the final game on April 26. The Lions won the title game 5-0, shutting out the Trojans in historic fashion. This was not only Emmanuel softball's first championship, but their first time appearing in the conference tournament. Congratulations to our ladies for such a historic run! All of us at Emmanuel athletics are extremely proud and cannot wait to see what this year brings. Enjoy these beautiful rings!
