Central, SC - The Emmanuel Women's Tennis Team earned another conference Carolinas match today at the Southern Wesleyan University Home Courts.

Emmanuel wasted no time in grabbing an early doubles point today. First, on court #2 with Ramos / Khemelevskaia by 6-3. Right after, on court #1, the duo formed by Weng / Guerrero used the net more often throughout the points to earn a 6-3 win. Lastly, the Lady Lions had a bit more work to get the job done on court #3, but Raich / Castillon earned a last-minute break to continue their winning streak with a 6-4 victory.

In singles, the visiting Lions were able to get 4 more wins today. First, with the sophomore Zyanya Rogel, who did not find much resistance from the opponent and quickly gave Emmanuel a second point by 6-0 6-0. Almost at the same time, the Freshman, Alejandra Guerrero also did not drop any games and remained undefeated this season with a 6-0 6-0 win. Marta Barreiro was the one who clinched the overall victory for EC today. After getting a break in both sets, Marta was able to hold the serve with good forehands from behind the line to win by 6-3 6-3. Lastly, Selina Donecker gave Emmanuel an extra point with a solid performance today with a 6-2 6-3 victory.

The Emmanuel Women's Tennis is now in a 6-match winning streak and they will be tested at the home courts by the conference Carolinas, North Greenville University, next Tuesday.
