Winston-Salem, NC - The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team started their indoor season this weekend by competing in the VWS College Kick-Off hosted at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Lions broke several personal and school records in their first meet of the season.Â
HIGHLIGHTS
In the 60-Meter Dash, junior
Cam Scott broke a personal record with a qualifying time of 6.90. Â Junior,
Evan Deaton broke a personal record in the same race with a time of 7.07.
In the Men's 200-Meter race, senior Marcus Purcell took first place with a time of 22.19. Deaton ran a personal best in the 200 with a time of 23:38.
In the 400M, sophomore,
Jermaine Williams ran a personal best with a time of 55:48. Sophomore, Matthew McKenzie set a personal record in the long jump with a 6.35m jump.Â
The Lions were back in action on Saturday to compete in the JDL Early Bird Invitational.Â
