Charlotte, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team traveled to Charlotte, NC over the weekend to compete in the Charlotte 49er's Classic hosted by Charlotte University. The Lions ran well, earning several top 10 conference times on the weekend.
DAY ONE RESULTS
- In the high jump, Jermaine Williams placed 2nd with a personal best jump of 1.95M which earns him a top 5 mark in Conference Carolinas.
- In the 100M, Cam Scott placed 10th with a season best time of10.70, with teammate Evan Deaton placing 21st with a personal best time of 10.89. Both times rank top 10 in Conference Carolinas.
- In the 400M, Antavious Lawton placed 5th with a time of 47.98 which currently is the top time in Conference Carolinas. Rashid Silvera placed 18th in the race with a personal best time of 49.19. This time currently ranks top 10 in conference.
- In the 3000M Steeplechase, JeVareus Brown placed 10th with a time of 10:25.19 which was a personal best and ranks top 10 in conference.
DAY TWO RESULTS
- On Day Two, the Lions team of Scott, Silvera, Deaton, and Lawton placed 5th with a season best time of 41.34. This time broke the school record set by this group earlier in the season!
- In the 800M, Alex Johnson ran his collegiate best time of 1:59.56 which ranks top 20 in conference. Teammate, Demonte Davis ran a personal best time of 2:02.89 which ranks top 24 in conference.
- In the 200M, Antavious Lawton placed 16th with a personal best time of 21.61 which currently ranks top 10 in conference.
Next up, the Lions will travel to Atlanta, GA to compete in the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet hosted by Emory University.
