The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team traveled to Atlanta, GA this weekend to compete in the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet hosted by Emory University. The Lions ran well, with the relay teams earning top times.
RESULTS
- In the 4x100 Relay, the Emmanuel team of Cam Scott, Rashid Silvera, Evan Deaton, and Antavious Lawton placed 3rd with a time of 41.45.
- In the high jump, Jermaine Williams placed 7th with a jump of 1.88M which is a top conference mark.
- In the 4x400 Relay, the Emmanuel team of Lawton, Mark Hayden, Alex Johnson and Silvera placed 9thwith a time of 3:23.27.
- In the long jump, Evan Deaton placed 10th with a jump of 6.43M.
- In the triple jump, Dontae Jones placed 13th with a jump of 12.50M.
- In the 200M, Rashid Silvera placed 17th with a time of 22.15.
- In the 800M, Alex Johnson placed 24th with a time of 1:58.72 which was a Conference Carolinas Top 20 time.
- In the Javelin, Dontae Jones placed 25th with a throw of 27.72M.
- In the shot put, AnDarius Lawton placed 26th with a throw of 10.61M.
- In the 400M Hurdles, JeVareus Brown placed 29th with a time of 1:03.70.
- In the 1500M, Kevyn Chavez placed 34th with a time of 4:24.32.
Next, the Lions will travel to Hickory, NC for the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational hosted by Lenoir Rhyne University on April 10-11.
