MOUNT BERRY, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team traveled to Mount Berry, GA over the weekend to open Outdoor season at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals hosted by Berry College. The Lions ran well with several personal best times and were led by sprinters,
Rashid Silvera,
Cam Scott and Antavious Lawton who earned top times.
TOP TIMES
- In the 400M, Rashid Silvera finished 1st with a time of 49.37 which is a top 20 Conference Carolinas time.
- In the 4x100 Relay, the Lions team of Evan Deaton, Antavious Lawton, Cameron Scott, and Rashid Silvera took 2nd breaking the Emmanuel School Record with a time of 41.51.
- In the 100 Meter, senior Cameron Scott finished 3rd with a time of 10.89 which is a Conference Carolinas top 20 time, while teammate Antavious Lawton finished 4th with a time of 10.96.
- In the high jump, Josiah Drake placed 3rd with a jump of 1.91m which ranks him top 20 in Conference Carolinas, while Jermaine Williams jumped 1.86m which is also a top 20 jump in conference.
- In the 200M, Lawton took 6th with a time of 21.90 for a top conference time, with teammate Rashid Silvera taking 7th with a 21.98.
- In the Long jump, Micah Underwood jumped 6.42M to place 11th.
- In the triple jump, Dontae Jones placed 7th with a jump of 12.74M while Evan Deaton placed 9th with a jump of 11.46M.
PERSONAL RECORDS
- In the 4x100 Relay, the Emmanuel team of Deaton, Lawton, Scott and Silvera broke the Emmanuel school record with a time of 41.51 to place 2nd!
- In the 5K, Angel Aviles ran a personal best time of 16:12.
- In the shotput, AnDarius Lawton reached a personal record with a throw of 11.20M.
