Box Score MARS HILL, NC – The Emmanuel Baseball team traveled to Mars Hill, NC to take on the Lions in non-conference action. The Lions got off to a quick start, but the Mars Hill Lions took the lead late and held onto win, 4-3. With the loss, the Lions fall to 27-20 on the season. 
 
After a few scoreless innings, the Lions got on the board in the 3^rd. Ryan Muniz started things off by getting hit by a pitch. Bailey Stroud followed that up with a triple to centerfield to score Muniz and give the Lions a 1-0 lead. 
 
The Lions kept things going in the top of the 4^th with a home-run by Brody Campbell to make it 2-0, Lions. 
 
Hayden Beall got in on the action in the top of the 6^th with a home-run to make it 3-0, Lions. In the bottom half of the inning, the Mars Hill Lions answered back, scoring 2 runs on 3 hits to make it 3-2, Emmanuel. 
 
Mars Hill tied things up at 3-3 in the bottom of the 7^th scoring a run on three hits. 
 
The Mars Hill Lions would break the tie in the bottom of the 9^th in walk-off fashion, scoring a run on a hit to take the win, 4-3. 
 
At the plate, Bailey Stroud was 2-3 with a triple, with both Brody Campbell and Hayden Beall hitting home-runs. 
 
On the mound, Colby Fields got the start throwing 6 innings. He gave up two runs on six hits, walking three batters and striking out four. Hunter Maddox came in next, earning the loss. He pitched 2.1 innings and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out a batter and walking another. Simon Boggie closed out the game for the Lions, walking a batter.
 
Next up, the Lions will face King University in Bristol, TN tomorrow at 3PM.
