GASTONIA, NC – The Emmanuel Baseball team will begin postseason play this Wednesday with a match up against the #9 seed, King University Tornado at 1PM in the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship. The game will be played at CaroMont Health Park in Gastonia, NC.
The Lions head into the contest as the #8 seed with a record of 21-28, 16-17 in conference play.'
The Lions are led by junior,
Aidan Feather who is batting .356 on the season with an on-base percentage of .463. Feather leads the team in RBIs with 54 on the season.
Reece Kingeter led the Lions in homeruns this season with 8.
On the mound, the Lions are led by
Ethan Pooler and
Hunter Pirkle. Pooler leads the team in strikeouts with 54, while Pirkle holds an ERA of 6.44 in 65.2 innings pitched.
The Tornado head into Wednesday's game with a record of 13-36, 10-23 in conference action. At the plate, King is led by Tommy Regan, who is batting .323 on the season with an on-base percentage of .418. Logan Janney leads the Tornado in home runs with 8 and RBIs with 34.
On the mound, King is led by Ben Hale with 54 strikeouts and Rohde Kirkland with an ERA of 6.00 in 60 innings pitched.
The winner of Wednesday's game will go onto face #1 seed, North Greenville University on Thursday at 11AM.
