Birmingham, AL – The Emmanuel Men's Track team competed in the KMS Invitational over the weekend hosted in Birmingham, AL. The Lions performed well with several top ten finishers.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Cameron Scott finished 10th in the 60m with a time of 7.00.
- In the 200m, Marcus Purcell finished 4th with a time of 21.93.
- In the 400m, Nickili Lewis finished 10th with a time of 50.97.
- In the high jump, the Lions had two top 10 finishers with Orian Forrest finishing 4th with a jump of 1.90m and Donavan Wright in 9th with a jump of 1.85m.
- In the long jump, Wright came in 2nd place with a jump of 6.83m while Matthew McKenzie finished 9thwith a jump of 6.48m.
- Dontae Jones took 4th place in the triple jump with a 12.60m jump.
- Both Men's 4x200m relay teams finished in the top 10, with team "A" made up of Cameron Scott, Marcus Purcell, Evan Deaton, and Nickili Lewis finishing 3rd with a time of 1:31.32. Team "B" made up of Jesse Official, Harry Williams, Christian Washington, and Jermaine Williams finished 7th with a time of 1:36.75.
- The Men's 4x400 relay team made up of Marcus Purcell, Jesse Official, Orian Forrest, and Nickili Lewis took 6th place with a time of 3:45.05.
Next up, the Lions will travel to Winston-Salem, NC for the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational held at the JDL Fast Track on Sunday, January 26!
