Winston-Salem, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team traveled to Winston-Salem, NC over the weekend to compete at the JDL Flat is Fast Invite hosted at the JDL Fast Track. The Lions performed well, with several top 10 finishes.
HIGHLIGHTS

• In the Men's 200m, senior, Marcus Purcell finished 5^th for the Lions with a time of 22.42 while freshman, Nickili Lewis took 8^th with a time of 23.09. 
• In the 400m, Lewis had a 2^nd place finish, with a time of 50.64. 
• In the 600m, Johnny Carter finished just outside of the top 10, in 11^th place with a time of 1:37.68.
• In the High Jump, two Lions placed inside the top 10, with Orian Forrest taking 5^th with a jump of 1.93m and Donavan Wright finishing 10^th with a jump of 1.88m. 

Next up, the Lions will travel to Mobile, AL on February 2^nd for the University of South Alabama Jaguar Invitational hosted at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
