Franklin Springs, Ga – Conference Carolinas released their 2025-26 Preseason Coaches' Poll for Men's Basketball earlier this week and the Emmanuel University Lions were picked to finish 3
rd out of 16 teams.
Last season, the Lions finished 21-9 overall, 18-2 in conference action. Their season ended with a trip to the Conference Championship game where they fell to UNC Pembroke.
Emmanuel returns 7 members of the 2024-25 team, including senior,
Devin Story and sophomore,
Isaac Jones who both made an immediate impact in their first season with the Lions.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Devin Story – Senior | Guard | Augusta, GA
Devin averaged 10.2 points per game and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Lions in 2024-25. He scored a season high 29 points at Southern Wesleyan.
Isaac Jones – Sophomore | Guard | Marietta, GA
Isaac came on strong late in the season for the Lions, scoring a career high 15 points at Young Harris on 2/5/25. In the same game, he was 5-6 from beyond the 3-point line.
Ezra McKee – Senior | Forward | Clearwater, FL
A senior transfer from Clearwater, FL, McKee looks to make an instant impact for the Lions. Last year, at Shawnee State University, McKee averaged 12.4 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Bears.
The Lions will open the 2025-26 season on Friday, November 14 at 12PM against Newberry College in the Conference Crossover tournament hosted by Anderson University.
