WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team opened their season at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC for the VWS Collegiate Kickoff. The Lions ran well, with senior,
Antavius Lawton leading the way with a personal and meet best time in the 400!
HIGHLIGHTS
- Antavius Lawton finished 2nd in the 400 Meter (seeded-time) with a personal best time of 48.90. His time is currently 3rd best in all of Conference Carolinas!
- In the 800 Meter, Alex Johnson finished 3rd with a time of 2:00.15.
- In the 400 Meter (non-seeded times), Rashid Silvera finished 2nd with a time of 49.74.
- In the 4x400 Meter relay, the Emmanuel team of Antavius Lawton, Mark Hayden, Alex Johnson and Rashid Silvera finished 10th with a time of 3:31.96.
- In the 1 Mile, Angel Aviles finished 14th with a time of 4:38.26.
- In the 1000 Meter, Robbie Woods finished 15th with a time of 3:19.95.
- In the 60 Meter, Cameron Scott finished 16th with a time of 7.00.
The Lions will head back to the JDL Fast Track on February 22-23 for the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championship.
