The Emmanuel Women's Lacrosse team will travel to Wilson, NC to face the Barton College Bulldogs in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship tomorrow at 3:30PM. The Lions come into the match up as the #6 seed with an 8-7 overall record, 3-4 in conference action. The Bulldogs are the #3 seed in the tournament with a 10-6 record, 7-2 in conference play. 

The two teams played in the regular season, with the Bulldogs earning an overtime victory, 12-11. The Lions took a 5-2 lead in the 1^st quarter of play, but the Bulldogs responded well with a 6-2 scoring run in the 3^rdquarter. A goal by Emmanuel's Taylor Schubert tied the game at 11-11 with six seconds to play but the Bulldogs answered with 17 seconds on the clock in the overtime to earn the 12-11 win. 

Paige Murphy led the Lions with 4 goals in the contest with Kristie Fisher adding 3 goals and 3 assists on the afternoon. 

For the Bulldogs, Kate Matuza and Avery Woodcock led the team in scoring with 3 goals each. Woodcock and Tamia Marshall added 2 assists a piece on the afternoon.
