WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Track & Field team traveled to Winston-Salem, NC to compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championship over the weekend. The Lions were led by Antavious Lawton, who finished 2
nd in the 400M and the 4x400 Relay team who broke an Emmanuel school record. As a team, the Lions finished 13
th.
RESULTS
- In the 400M, Antavious Lawton finished 2nd with a time of 48.25.
- In the 4x400 Relay, the Emmanuel team of Marcus Purcell, Alex Johnson, Rashid Silvera and Antavious Lawton finished 6th with a time of 3:23.26, breaking an Emmanuel school record.
- In the 800M, Alex Johnson finished 11th with a time of 1:59.6 to earn a collegiate personal best time.
- In the 1 Mile, JB Brown ran a lifetime PR with a time of 4:41.69.
- In the 5000M, Kevyn Chavez ran a PR with a time of 15:59.48.
The Lions will open up outdoor season on March 7
th as they head to Mount Berry, GA to compete in the Victor Icebreaker Duals.
