Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Wrestling team hosted Davenport University tonight in a dual. The Lions took an early lead, winning the first three matches but Davenport came on strong in the middleweight division, picking up wins at 149, 157 and 165. Following a win by Emmanuel's
Michael McCarthy at 174lbs, Davenport picked up the next two wins, leaving the 285lb match to decide the dual. Emmanuel's
Kobe Pablo picked up a dominant victory to give the Lions the edge, 28-24. With the win, the Lions improve to 8-6 overall, 7-5 in conference action.

- At 133, Alex McMiller (Emmanuel) def. Roan Cooper (Davenport) by fall (2:29).
- At 141, Davin Lundquist (Emmanuel) def. Lucas Nagle (Davenport) by fall (3:41).
- At 174, Michael McCarthy (Emmanuel) def. Cody Ueberroth (Davenport) by fall (0:32).
- At 285, Kobe Pablo (Emmanuel) picked up a win over Andrew Dupree (Davenport) by majority decision (11-0).
Next up the Lions will travel to Greenwood, SC to compete in the NCAA Regionals on February 28!
