Emmanuel University (Ga.)

Man-Hsuan Weng is a tennis player and student-athlete from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. 
Back in Taiwan, Man-Hsuan started to play tennis when she was eight years old. “I played tennis for the first time in elementary school,” explains Man-Hsuan, member of the EC women’s tennis team, “my teacher said that I did good and that I should try to play.”
After she was encouraged to start playing tennis, she loved the sport and kept playing till the date. “I like tennis because it helps me release stress,” explains Man-Hsuan, “the tennis court is the first place I go when I feel angry, mad, or frustrated,” she adds. 
Man-Hsuan, the middle sibling of five, is now in her Sophomore year in college pursuing a graphic design degree. Besides, she adds that her favorite hobbies include drawing, writing, and listening to music.  
Unlike other international student-athletes, attending Emmanuel College was not the first time for Man-Hsuan in the U.S. “I came here before when I was only sixteen,” she explains, “I was training in Florida where I also played some UTR tennis tournaments.”
After that first experience, she fell in love with the environment that she lived in America and she decided to come back here to study and play tennis. Some of Man-Hsuan's favorite memories at EC include meeting her teammates and celebrating team victories and successful memories with them. 
Although she still has two years before she graduates, Man-Hsuan has big dreams for her future and hopes to become a good graphic designer and write a novel.
