FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga—The Lions baseball team dropped the series to King this weekend.
The Lions won the first game of the series 5-4, before falling to the Tornados of King the final two games (4-2, 6-3).
Trent Jones had a homerun for the Lions in the first game on Sunday. Jon Floyd, Jones, Hanon Price, and Dacen Cash all had two hits, Jones collecting two of the runs. Mason Tyler got his first win of the season, pitching six and a third innings with six strikeouts. Aaron Westbury got the save.
For the second game of the series, Dacen Cash led the Lions with two hits. Zach Gretsch put out a homerun. Riley Sparks was dealt the loss for the game, pitching six and a third innings with seven strikeouts.
Bo Hardman and Conner Smith both had homeruns for the Lions in game three to finish up the series. Hardman had two hits with two RBI. Hudson Jacobs took the loss with six innings and six strikeouts.
