FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga – The Lions Baseball team fell to Barton in three straight games on Saturday and Sunday (9-5, 6-2, 11-2).

In the first game on Saturday, the Lions were the first on the board, scoring in the first inning. The Lions also scored in three straight innings scoring one run in both the fifth and sixth, and two in the seventh.

Trent Jones led the Lions with three hits, and Payden Roberts collected two. Mason Tyler took the loss for the Lions. Ryan Phillips pitched five and a third of an inning with three strike-outs.

The Lions were downed 6-2 the second game of the series, with Elliott Beard having both RBI. Beard had a home run with three hits. Riley Sparks was served with the loss for game two. Ethan Thornton pitched five innings with two strikeouts.

The Lions dropped game three 11-2. Elliott Beard accounted for both runs and a homerun. Aaron Westbury got the loss, pitching four and a third of an inning with two strikeouts. Hudson Jacobs also had two strikeouts on one and two thirds of an inning.
