Box Score DUE WEST, Sc. – The Emmanuel College Women's lacrosse team traveled to Due West, s.c. on March 21st to take on Erskine College in another Conference match-up.
The lions started the game off hot with five goals right off the bat only being answered by two Erskine goals.
The lions and flying fleet went back and forth for a little and Erskine thought they may close the gap until Emmanuel rattle off eight more goals. The score going into half time was 15-5, Emmanuel.
The second half started off with Tiana Machado making the first goal followed by Tara Larson and Lara Russell having one a piece. Erskine had four more goals in the game but the lions out-scored them, scoring four more for the half as well.
The final score of the game was 22-9, Emmanuel.
Tara Larson had 8 goals for the lions, Megan Shortt had 7, and Lara Russell had 4.
The Lady Lions ended the game with 16 ground balls, 17 turnovers, 38 attempted shots and 24 draw controls. Emma Pow and Tiana Machado shard time in the goal and Pow had 8 saves and Machado had 4 in her 15 minutes of play.
The Lady Lions will take on the Embry-Riddle Eagles at home for their next game on March 22nd.
