Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Emmanuel College Women's Lacrosse Team traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on Palm Beach Atlantic University on March 9th .
The first half was very low scoring with only 2 goals from the lions and 3 goals from the sailfish.
Lara Russell and Tara Larson had one goal apiece in the first half.
The action picked up in the second half a little and Tara Larson started the scoring for the second half just 30 seconds in. PBA quickly answered but Emmanuel went on to score three consecutive goals giving them their lead in the game.
The lions maintained that lead by scoring three more goals to PBA's 2 goals.
The lions never gave up and took the close game with a score of 9-6, Emmanuel.
Tara Larson had 4 goals for the lions, Lara Russell had 3, and Hanna Hernandez and Megan Shortt had one apiece.
The lions ended the game with 19 ground balls, 31 turnovers, 11 draw controls, and 24 shots. Tiana Machado had 12 saves.
The Lady Lions will take on Berry College at home for their next game on March 13th.
