The Lions recorded 6 runs, 8 hits, 5 RBI's and drew 7 walks in their 6-5 win over the Warriors. Judd Roberts picked up a double and 2 RBI's for the Lions while Luke Patty had 1 double, 1 single, and 1 RBI. Kyle Gaura recorded 3 singles with 1 RBI, Dylan Letellier had 1 RBI on 1 single, and Quinn Tomasino had 1 single.
Eric Moore pitched 6.2 innings for the Lions, facing 30 batters and recording 12 strikeouts while allowing 7 hits, 4 runs, and 3 walks. Adam Biss earned a save while holding off the Warriors in the final inning with 2 strikeouts. Biss allowed 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 walk
After trailing 2-1, the Lions had a big fourth inning, bringing in 5 runs. The Warriors would score 3 more runs in the seventh and ninth innings, but one final strikeout from Adam Biss held off the Warriors and earned EC the 6-5 victory.
GAME #2
EC had 3 runs, 3 hits, 2 RBI's and drew 3 walks. Clayton Jones had a double for EC while Luke Patty picked up 2 singles.
Jake Denham faced 21 batters in five innings, pitching 5 strikeouts while allowing 5 hits, 1 run, and 1 walk.
In the bottom of the second inning, Quinn Tomasino was walked before a double from Jones advanced him to third. Brody Campbell then lined out to left field, bringing Tomasino home. The Lions extended their lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third. Dylan Letellier was walked before Luke Patty advanced him to second with a single to left field. Demetrius foster then advanced Letellier to third and Patty to second. A sac fly from Jordan McClure brought in Letellier and advanced Patty to third. Patty followed up with a steal to propel the Lions to a 3-0 lead. SWU had 1 run in the fourth inning before the Lions closed out the game 3-1.
Next up, the Lions wrap up their series with SWU tomorrow at 2pm.
