COLUMBIA, SC - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the 2022 CIU Rams Invitational this weekend, marking their first event of the 2022 outdoor season. Several Lions put up impressive individual performances.
 
Men's Results:
Cadyn Huddleston, freshman, finished 20^th overall in the Men's Javelin with an official mark of 25.44 meters. 

Griffin Stephens, sophomore, finished 8^th overall in the Men's 5000 Meters with a 15:24.50. In the same event, Jordan Roberts, freshman, finished 9^th with a 15:29.61 finish. 

Alexander Andrade-Sosa, sophomore, finished 2^nd overall in the Men's 10000 Meter, recording a 33:18.17 finish. 

Kevin Wood, sophomore, finished 1^st in the Men's Long Jump with a mark of 7.06 meters. 

Brandon Martin, freshman, finished 5^th overall in the Men's 1500 Meters with an official time of 3:59.78. In the same event, Demarco Hernandez finished in 12^th with a 4:09.52, while Ethan Hargrove finished in 17^th with a 4:13.10 finish. 

Jaylin Holiday, senior, finished 1^st in the Men's 100 Meter with an official time of 10:88. Blake Walker, sophomore, finished 2^nd in the same event, recording an official time of 10.98. 

Walker also finished 1^st in the Men's 200 Meters with an official time of 21.92. In the same event, Holiday finished 5^thwith a 22.32 finish time. 
 
Women's Results:
 
Clara Heiss, senior, finished 2^nd in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.45 meters. This is the highest vault in Conference Carolinas this year.
Heiss also finished 11^th in the Women's 100 Meters with an official time of 13.70. 
 
Katie Johnson, sophomore, finished 26^th in the Women's 200 Meters, recording an official time of 29.07. 
 
The Track and Field teams will continue their outdoor season as they travel to Columbia, SC, on March 25-26, to compete in the Weems Baskin Invitational at the University of South Carolina.
