COLUMBIA, SC - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to Columbia, SC, to compete in the Weems Baskin Invitations. The Lions had a successful day, earing many top-10 finishes and multiple 1^st place finishes. The meet was hosted by the University of South Carolina and included numerous Division I programs.
 
Men's Results
The men took home four top-10 spots in the Men's 3000. Brandon Martin finished 1^st with a 8:42.08 finish time. Demarco Hernandez finished 6^th with 8:54.20 finish. Jordan Robertson finished 8^th overall with a 9:06.29. Alexander Andrade-Sosa finished 8^th overall with a 9:10.89 finish. 

Sulaimaine Bangura finished in 1^st place in the Men's 400 Dash Invite with a 46.77 finish time. Bangura also finished 18^th in the Men's 200 Dash with a 21.80 finish time. 
Ethan Hargrove finished 1^st in the Men's 800 with an official 1:56.17 finish time. 

Felipe Barrios finished 6^th overall in the Men's 1500 with a 4:09.52 finish time. 

Blake Walker finished 3^rd overall in the Men's 100 Dash with an official 10.90 finish time. 

Jaylin Holiday finished 19^th overall in the Men's 100 Dash Invite with an official 10.83 finish time. 

Jason Burke took 2^nd place in the Men's High Jump with a 1.90 meter mark. Kevin Wood finished 6^th in the event with a 1.75 meter mark. 

Jason Burke also took 9^th in the Men's Long Jump with a 6.69 meter jump. Kevin Wood finished 12^th in the same event with a 6.79 meter jump. 
 
Women's Results
Riley Triplett finished 6^th in the Women's 3000 with an 11:04.16 finish time. 

Madelyn Bright finished in 9^th place in the Women's Javelin Throw with a 22.79 meter throw. 

Clara Heiss finished 25^th in the Women's 100 Hurdles with a 15.67 finish time.
 
After today's strong showing, the Track and Field teams will continue their season April 1^st-2^nd as they travel to Central, SC, to compete in the SWU Invite.
