ALLENDALE, MI - The 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships entered the third and final day of competition on Saturday. 

Senior Sulaimane Bangura competed in the men's 200 meter finals, which took place at 3:05pm. Bangura earned his six seed after running a 46.66 time in Thursday's preliminary round. 

The Conyers, GA, native bested his prelim time by one one-hundredth of a second, running a 46.65 in the final, giving him a 6th place finish in the nation. 

In the 2021 Outdoor Championships, Bangura finished 8th (47.61) and received All-American honors. He also ran a 47.61 in the 2022 Indoor Championships, good for a sixth place finish and All-American status. 

Senior Jharna Alston ran in the women's 200 meter, recording a time of 24.01 to finish 9th in the country.
