Marshall, MO – The Emmanuel Women's Wrestling team headed out west over the weekend to compete in the Missouri Valley Open. The Lions performed well, bringing home three top eight finishes against tough competition.

HIGHLIGHTS – 

Dinayah Vazquez (110 lb. weight class) – Vasquez went 6-3 on the weekend to finish the tournament in 6th place. 

Karissa Turnwall (117 lb. weight class) – Turnwall went 6-2 on the weekend to finish the tournament in 4th place. 

Gianna Anaya (138 lb. weight class) – Anaya went 7-3 on the weekend to finish the Open in 8th place. 

Freshman, Gianna DiBenedetto also competed well at 138 lbs. going 5-2 on the weekend. 

Next up, the Lions will travel to Williamsburg, KY to compete in the Patriots Dual hosted by the University of the Cumberlands.
