FROSTBURG, MD – The Emmanuel Women's Wrestling team traveled to Frostburg, MD over the weekend to compete in the Bobcat Open hosted by Frostburg State University. The Lions wrestled well, with eight Lions placing in the top 5 in their weight class. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS –
·      In the 117 lb. weight class, Emmanuel's Dinayah Vasquez placed 4th. She finished the tournament with two wins via fall, one by decision, and one by tech fall, losing in the 3rd place match by fall.
·      In the 124 lb. weight class, Betty Cherry finished 4th. She finished the tournament with one win by tech fall, one by fall, and one decision. She lost in the 3rd place match via decision (4-1).
·      In the 138 lb. weight class, Gianna Anaya placed 2nd. She finished the day with two wins via fall and one by tech fall. She lost via tech fall in the 1st place match.
·      Also in the 138 lb. weight class, Sofia Vergara placed 4th. She finished the day with two wins via decision and one by fall. 
·      Emmanuel's Gianna DiBenedetto finished 3rd in the 138 lb. weight class. She finished the day with three wins via decision, one by fall, and one by tech fall. 
·      In the 145 lb. weight class, Kendra Heroch took 4th place. She ended the day with four wins via fall, losing via decision in the 3rd place match.
·      In the 180 lb. weight class, Alyssa Arana finished 2nd. She finished the day with two wins via fall and one tech fall. She lost via decision in the 1st place match.
·      In the 207 lb. weight class, Gemma Templeman placed 3rd. She finished the tournament with three wins via fall.
