CENTRAL, SC – The Emmanuel Women's Track & Field team traveled to Central, SC to take part in the Gotta Run Invite hosted by Southern Wesleyan. The Lions ran fast and jumped well, with sophomore, Rayven Thurston breaking the school record in the triple jump! 
RESULTS

• In the 800M, Gracie Woods finished 1^st with a time of 2:27.09. 
• In the 3000M, MaKayla Jones placed 1^st with a time of 12:49.57.
• In the triple jump, Rayven Thurston finished 2^nd with a jump of 11.34m, breaking the school record! Valasha Carter placed 5^th with a jump of 10.62m. 
• In the long jump, Rayven Thurston finished 2^nd with a jump of 5.28m. 
• In the 4x100M relay, the Emmanuel team of Valasha Carter, Morgan Hall, Rayven Thurston and Alexis Wilcher placed 3^rd with a time of 49.59. 
• In the 200M, Morgan Hall finished 4^th with a time of 25.72.
• In the 1500M, Gracie Woods finished 6^th with a time of 5:11.35. 
• In the 100M, Alexis Wilcher finished 8^th with a time of 12.88 and Valasha Carter placed 10^th with a time of 13.12.

The Lions will be back in action on April 11-12 at the Trojan Relays hosted by the University of Mount Olive.
