The Emmanuel Women's Track & Field team traveled to Atlanta, GA this weekend to compete in the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet hosted by Emory University. Freshman,
France Smith continued to show versatility over the weekend, taking 4
th in the Heptathlon.
RESULTS
- Smith earned a 4th place finish in the Heptathlon with 4450 points. She is currently ranked 2nd in conference and is only 139 points off from the NCAA DII National Standard.
- In the 4x100 Relay, the Emmanuel team of Jada Crockett, Smith, Macy Moore, and Taylor Johnson-Miller took 8th with a time of 50.40.
- In the 1500M, Aubrey Barnett took 11th with a time of 5:09.05 which was a top Conference time.
- In the Pole Vault, Macy Moore placed 13th with a jump of 2.90 which meets a top Conference mark.
- In the Javelin, Makena Dodd placed 15th with a throw of 20.71M.
- In the Shot Put, Makena Dodd placed 17th with a throw of 10.45M.
- In the 200M, Jada Crockett took 21st with a time of 25.98.
- In the 400M, Taylor Johnson-Miller placed 35th with a time of 1:03.20.
The Lions will be back in action April 10-11 at the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational hosted by Lenoir Rhyne University.
