FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team will be hosting a Firefighter Appreciation Night and honoring the lives of fire heroes whose lives were lost in the line of duty on Tuesday, September 23 at 7PM in their match against Erskine College.
The event will be free to attend for all active firefighters and their families. At the event, the Athletic Department will be raising awareness and funds for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
The mission of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is to honor America's fallen fire heroes; support their families, colleagues, and organizations; and work to reduce preventable death and injury.
For Emmanuel Assistant Coach, Harmony Starr this event and the cause are close to her heart.
"In every game, we play with heart, but on September 23
rd we'll play for more," she said. "We play for the true heroes, like my brother, who lost their lives protecting us. This match honors their bravery, their sacrifice, and the love they leave behind. Forever remembered, forever missed."
Please join us on September 23 at 7PM as we remember our fallen heroes and honor those who serve for their courage, sacrifice and commitment to protecting our community.
